Chapel History

Nestled in the formal part of Trott's Garden is a delightful chapel, built in Ashburton in 1916 and moved onto the property in 1999. The interior features superb native New Zealand timbers and many of the original church furnishings.

The chapel is used extensively for weddings, memorial services and family reunions. The building includes a small ante/ supper room. A feature of the exterior of the chapel is the delightful hedged gardens with church bell and rose covered arbors, a perfect place to extend your hospitality. A marquee lawn situated immediately adjacent to the chapel caters for larger weddings and more formal occasions.
